Process

Inquiry & Discovery

Review services (next sections) to get an idea of what's possible. Once I receive your initial inquiry, you’ll be sent a client questionnaire.

This helps me understand your product, goals, timeline, and overall scope before any work begins.

Estimate & Scope

Within 24–48 hours of receiving your completed questionnaire, you’ll receive a detailed estimate that includes:

  • A minimum and maximum hour range based on your needs

  • Recommended scope and priorities

  • Initial thoughts on approach

This gives you a clear expectation of both time and investment before committing.

Approval & Deposit (within 1 week)

To move forward:

  • You’ll review and approve the estimate

  • Sign off on the engagement

  • Submit your deposit within 7 days

Your start date is only secured once the deposit is received.

If the 7-day window passes, the estimate may expire and the deposit will no longer apply to the original timeline.

Project Plan & Contract

After your deposit is confirmed, I’ll prepare a full project breakdown within 48–96 hours, including:

  • A detailed contract agreement

  • Two structured options:

    • Basic Plan (focused scope, essential deliverables)

    • Advanced Plan (expanded scope, deeper UX, additional refinement)

  • Clear task breakdown and milestones

  • Estimated timeline in weeks for each plan

  • Confirmation of deposit and remaining balance structure

Design Execution

Once everything is finalized, we begin the design phase.

Hours are allocated strategically across:

  • UX structure and flows

  • UI design and prototyping

  • Iteration and refinement

  • Developer handoff and support

You’ll receive consistent updates and opportunities for feedback throughout.

FAQ

How does your pricing work?

I work on an hourly basis at $65/hour with a 25-hour minimum per engagement. This allows flexibility while ensuring enough time to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design work.

Why do you have a minimum of 25 hours?

Strong UX/UI work requires time for research, iteration, and refinement. The minimum ensures I can move beyond surface-level design and create solutions that are actually effective and scalable.

What if my project is smaller than 25 hours?

Most projects benefit from a deeper level of thinking and iteration than expected. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help scope your needs and recommend the most efficient approach.

How are hours tracked?

Hours are tracked transparently and typically broken down by task (UX, UI, revisions, etc.). You’ll always have visibility into how time is being spent. I can use your preferred project manager, or provide a table sheet with each deliverable.

Can I add more hours if needed?

Yes. Additional hours can be added at any time if the project expands or you’d like to continue working together.

Do you offer fixed pricing?

For well-defined projects, I can provide a fixed estimate based on scope. However, hourly tends to work better for projects that evolve or require ongoing collaboration.

What tools do you use?

Primarily Figma for design, prototyping, and design systems. I use Webflow or Framer for web development. I also collaborate through tools like Slack, Notion, or your team’s preferred workflow.

Do you work with developers?

Yes. I provide clean handoff files, documentation, and can collaborate directly with developers to ensure accurate implementation.

Do you offer revisions?

Yes; iteration is a core part of the process. Feedback and refinements are included within your allocated hours.

What types of projects do you take on?

• Mobile and web apps • Websites and landing pages • Design systems • Product redesigns and UX improvements • Ongoing product design support

How quickly can you start?

Start times depend on current availability, but I can usually begin within 1–2 weeks. Reach out to check current scheduling.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Many clients continue on a rolling hourly basis for new features, updates, and optimization after the initial engagement.
